Our People

The members of the teaching staff of this department are well trained and most of them have experience of study and research abroad. In recognition of his work on modern metallography one of them has received first prize from the Metals Society, London and also received “Certificate of Merit” from the Institute of Physics for his work on Electron Microscopy, two of them received University Grants Commission (Bangladesh) awards for outstanding research publications and two others have received university recognition for excellence in research work. In 2011, one of them has rteceived World Bank grant for the development of the equipments and upgrading facilities of the department.
The department also has two dedicated technical officers: Mr. Md. faruk Hossain and Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Maksud and a support team to assist in departmental academic and non-academic activities.
