The Material Symposium 2021: Bridging the Experiential Gap

We are pleased to invite you to the four-days-long materials related awareness build-up technical symposium on Materials 4.0, Additive Manufacturing and Career Development, scheduled Thursday 15th July 2021 to Sunday 18th July 2021. This symposium is organised by the Material Advantage BUET chapter in cooperation with the department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. The programme schedule is attached herewith.
Material Advantage is a student programme for the materials science and engineering professional’s most preeminent societies: TMS – The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society; ASM International – The Materials Information Society; AIST – Association for Iron & Steel Technology; and ACerS – The American Ceramic Society.
There will be two keynote speeches from Dr. Zi-Kui Liu, Professor, Materials Science and Engineering Pennsylvania State University, USA; and Dr. Alphons A. Antonysamy, CEng & FIMMM, Principal Research Scientist – Ti and AM Alloys, GKN Aerospace Services Limited, UK. Moreover, eleven talks will be disseminated on research opportunities and career development (both home and abroad) in materials.
We are expecting a total of two hundred and fifty audience including students, engineers and technical personnel from different universities, and industries. The programme will also be live-streamed.
